Busy... busy... busy!

So, I haven't "blogged" in almost two weeks. However, my batteries were recharged during a trip to my mom & dad's to see my niece dedicated. Then my parents came back to New Orleans for some errands and visiting. They stayed with us in our "Construction Zone" and we all survived quite well!

Then it was back to work! Three rooms of flooring, Scraproom setup, shelving system assembly, sanding, texturing, painting, staining - and hopefully more flooring this weekend. Time to put on my big girl panties and DEAL with it!!

Soap Sachet Pattern

One of my “Loomy” Yahoo groups posts a challenge each month. March’s challenge was a “Soap-on-a-Rope”. When I was ready to try it no one had posted a pattern yet, so…

I made one up! Feel free to try it as is or adjust. This is my first try at writing down what I did... this was a "Manly" soap bag a.k.a. soap-on-a-rope so I made a cuffed brim. For a "prettier" version I think next time I'm using cable cast-on and leaving out the cuff, to make more of a ruffled edge. A full sized bar of soap fits nicely.

Magazine Madness

It can't be just me... I only have 3 subscriptions to scrapping Magazines yet I'm staring at 5 unread. There are so many project ideas and tricks I want to try and not enough time! I don't even have enough time to turn down the pages I want to re-visit!! Then, when I do - I end up with a STACK of mags all with dog-earred corners collecting dust.

I was trying to catch up when I read a great article about using Blog entries as journaling in scrapbooks... well of course that made me remember that I hadn't written my Diva Blog today. Maybe this activity will actually Speed up My scrapping process by having the journaling ready ahead of time! OK - back to the mag stack...
