I am committed to providing an excellent learning environment for all children. In order to achieve this goal, I will need your support in the areas of discipline, class work, and home learning. Please encourage your child to do their best at all times. Your involvement and positive attitude are very important to your child's success.
Home learning varies nightly from Monday to Thursday. These assignments will consist of various activities to help students practice or extend concepts learned in class. All assignments should be completed and returned daily. Students have homework EVERY night (M- Th) unless a NOTE is sent stating otherwise.
The pockets are labeled in your child's "Take Home" folder. The LEFT pocket is for papers to be LEFT at home. The RIGHT pocket materials need to be completed and sent RIGHT back to school.
Second grade "Weekly Communication" folders are sent home each Tuesday. Please review your child's behavior report and discuss the areas that may need improvement. Writing return notes or a message to your child is a powerful way to build skills and self-esteem. Please respond and return the signed "Blue" folder on the following school day. |
